Hey all,
New to the group, but I've been having some trouble myself with this one lately. I am a reiki professor and teacher of spiritual and psychic arts. The biggest problem I have with my students is the belief. I spent a long time on the road to spirituality and like others have been confused and turned around and completely miscontrued it wasn't funny.
In the end though I managed to find what I like to refer to as "the truth" it's definitely a lot different than a lot of the myths about things and it changes from myth to myth obviously so writing it all down would be like writing my findings on everything from Astrology to Zen Meditation and heck, I'm sure you all don't have the time to read all of that.
Anyways, my issue isn't really with the findings, it's with the sharing of the findings. They tend to run the line between "fact"and "belief" and half the time what I have learned as "fact" gets set to the back of a person's mind as "my belief". I am so used to hearing this line and it just drives me crazy!
"Well, I'm sure that's true for you, but it's not for me."
Now, when we talk about the reality between true and false in spiritual matters we really get into that line of experience, I mean, if one person experiences it, shouldn't they be able to share it with the general public as to so educate them?
What I find for me is that half the time people will say, "Well it's true for you because you experienced it, I on the other hand have not experienced it so therefore it is not true for me."
That's another line that drives me crazy, I just want to know why people would choose to take this card when one is attempting to educate them better on the terms. Certainly, I'm not famous and I haven't written a book, but I'm sure that if I did people would listen to me. I mean, did you see the new book coming out about how you can talk to people who are possessed by demons in order to find out how to make lots of money? I mean, if people like him can be taken seriously, why can't I be in the privacy of a one on one student lesson?
Let me know your thoughts on this, thanks!

Re: The "it's true for you" Concept
Tue, November 1, 2005 - 10:22 AMThere is no one cozy blanket
called truth.
The student is the teacher
and the teacher the student
What is it inside you
that craves
being the "teacher"
Why do you assume
that others have not already had
the experiences that are ripe for them?
If you share your experience
through your words
it is not the actual experience you are sharing
but your perception of it
An event/action/string of words in a book
is percieved differently
by each being
so you cannot possibly "share" an experience
with someone else
it is sacred
because it is yours
and yours alone
you can share your joy
of having had the experience
and in sharing that joy
you bring the vibration up
This is all we can hope to do
for/with another being
Then they move on through their life
after their conversation (an experience)
with you
and maybe the next thing that comes to them
will inspire them further
because they are on that higher vibe
just from being WITH you
Integrate the joyousness
of each enlightening experience
and you radiate
joy
Try pushing that "enlightenment"
on another
and you radiate
frustration
Which vibration do you
really want
to create?
inlight,
Neith

Re: The "it's true for you" Concept
Fri, November 4, 2005 - 4:34 PMEveryone can have experiences that make certain things TRUE. Like the three children at Fatima, the Amytiville horror, or other signs and wonders using symbols according to the creed of the believers. There are also more personal experiences like those of a man who wrote a book about going to hell and back, Paul the Apostle (if the story hasn't been distorted), revelations on the Astral realm.... whatever it is, it's there as an opportunity for each soul or soul-collective to make a step in their journey unto total Enlightenment. There is a scripture that rings true to me, although many others don't, and in it Jesus says, "In my Fathers house are many mansions". I take that to mean that seemingly contradictory truths have a way of working out-or not (maybe then the student is ready for a higher truth)-but seeing with the Eye Of The Absolute, all pieces fit together making the Big Picture. -

Re: The "it's true for you" Concept
Fri, November 4, 2005 - 5:26 PM+ When a truth is depicted, told, taught, read or any other means of entering it into the mind it is not known to be true in the being of one's self. This can one be achieve through experiencing this truth for one's self. Even if the truth resonates very deeply with you. Become a gentle observer of your consciousness and your mind, words, actions and deeds for this is your experience. Through this process you will become aware of the perfection and the gifts these truths have brought forth. You will also realize which truths are actually illusions used to bring forth greater enlightenment and to help humanity as a whole realize who we truly are. Use these illusion for there purpose and live with them not within them. Never stop expanding the possibility of a truth for it will always have a grander vision of itself than you ever thought possible as long as you gently notice and allow it to grow and expand.
+ Namaste!
